By submitting this request, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Eligibility. Skip a Payment is available on eligible loans that are in good standing. Loans not eligible for skip include first mortgages, home equity lines of credit, second mortgages, share-secured loans, and loans that have received a previous skip within the past 12 months. Vida reserves the right to determine eligibility and approve or deny any skip request.
Processing Fee. A $35 processing fee applies per loan being skipped (the Loan Extension Fee on Vida's Schedule of Fees). The fee will be deducted from your Vida share account at the time of approval. Insufficient funds may result in denial of the skip request.
Interest Accrual. Interest continues to accrue on your loan balance during the skipped period. Your next payment, and subsequent payments, may include the additional accrued interest. Skipping a payment does not reduce the total amount owed and may extend the life of your loan.
Effect on Future Claims. If your loan is covered by GAP insurance or any similar product, skipping a payment may affect your eligibility for a future claim. Review your GAP contract carefully or contact Vida before submitting a skip request.
Notice & Timing. This request must be submitted at least 5 business days before your scheduled payment due date. Requests submitted within 5 business days of the due date may not be processed in time and may not be honored.
Confirmation. Submission of this form does not guarantee that your skip will be approved. A Vida team member will review your request, verify eligibility, and contact you to confirm approval or denial before any change to your payment schedule.
Limit. Members may skip a payment on the same loan no more than once in any 12-month period. Multiple skip requests on the same loan within a 12-month period may be denied.
Authorization. You authorize Vida to defer the loan payment(s) listed above, charge the applicable processing fee to your account, and adjust the maturity date of the affected loan(s) accordingly. If a co-borrower or guarantor signed the original loan agreement, you confirm that you have their consent to submit this skip request.
No Adverse Credit Impact. An approved Skip a Payment is not reported as a late or missed payment to credit bureaus and will not negatively affect your credit standing with Vida.
